A busy summer in 2011 and autumn as well !

 

 

During summer we have made a 15 feet (4.57 meters) extension to the outside training ring. This extension gives us a total length of 105 feet (32 meters) instead of 90 feet (27.43 meters) as before.

 

To proceed with this extension we had to cut down few trees, fill back with soil (almost 20 12 wheelers were necessary!), add sand as the finishing topping and rebuilt the fence. 

 

This new length gives the opportunity of a better schooling and learning but also be able to jump obstacles and  more complete riding figures.

 

 

THAT'S NOT ALL !

 

During fall Michel Viau (Mykey Construction Plus - see the Links  page for additional details) and his team built the extension of the stable. This project lasted about 1 1/2 month and gave us an additional area of 20 x 24 feet for total of 480 square feet  (6 x 7.3 meters - 43.8 square meters) !

 

 

Congratulations to Michel and his team for a high quality work and very well done! Quality as we expected and even more !

This extension gives us the required area to get all horses together and also to be able to pet and prepare two (2) horses at the same time meaning having the possibility to teach 2 people at the same time! 

 

IS THAT ALL?  WHAT ELSE ? 

 

You know, as they say : "It takes 2 to Tango". Well at Les écuries Braveheart it takes not 2, 3, 4, or 5 but 6 ! A new horse joined us at the end of the summer. It's a 10 years old mare by the name of Shelby.  You will certainly enjoy many hour of fun with her.  You can see her picture on the Photo Gallery page. 

 

 

So, when you have 6 horses you also need 6 shelters! Therefore, we have added 2 new shelters at the back of the stable as well as 2 new paddocks. 

 

 

 

Finally, on October 22 we inaugurated the new stable, shelters and paddocks as the main works were done. Riders and parents were invited to a "3 to 6" event to socialize and visit the "new" stable.

 

 

 

Ouf! I think we didn't forget anything.
